PD Courses

AUSTSWIM offers a range of professional development (PD) courses for licensed swim teachers, designed to meet licence renewal requirements and support ongoing career development across key areas of contemporary aquatic practice. 

These courses focus on strengthening professional practice, building confidence, and supporting positive outcomes for learners in aquatic environments.

Professional development courses may also contribute to AUSTSWIM licence renewal requirements where applicable.

Licence Renewal Requirements

PD Hours for Licence Renewal

All our professional development (PD) courses provide hours towards the 10 hours of PD in total required for an AUSTSWIM licence renewal. Clear information is provided on individual course pages to help you understand how each course contributes to your licence and professional goals.

AUSTSWIM proudly partners with World Wide Swim School to provide access to high-quality online professional development led by Laurie Lawrence. This collaboration offers flexible, self-paced learning designed to enhance teaching skills and industry knowledge.

In addition to AUSTSWIM-delivered courses, we also recognise selected industry-led professional development aligned with our commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, diversity and best practice in aquatic education. Opportunities from Worldwide Swim School, Puggles Swim and Autism Swim complement AUSTSWIM learning and support continuous professional growth across the aquatics industry.
